Downloads
Precompiled binaries of OpenRSP are available here now: installers and packages for Linux and Windows, and the Android apps. Each download installs the driver stack, or one of the OpenRSP apps, for one platform.
OpenRSP is free software under the GNU GPL version 3. We are still working out the best way to release the source code, and it will be published as soon as that is settled.
OpenRSP replaces the SDRplay API on the computer it is installed on. On Linux and Windows the previous files are backed up and put back when OpenRSP is uninstalled. OpenRSP is an independent project, not affiliated with SDRplay Ltd, and is provided without warranty. See Hardware & platforms for what has been tested on each platform.
Release v3.15.2-openrsp.8 (OpenRSP 3.15.2-4, SDRplay API 3.15.2 compatible), built 2026-10-19.

Installing
Linux
Use one package type, not both. The .run installer covers every architecture;
the .deb packages suit apt-based systems.
sudo sh sdrplay-api-open-<version>-linux.run # install
sudo apt install ./sdrplay-api-open_<version>_amd64.deb # or: the package for your architecture
sudo apt remove sdrplay-api-open # uninstall and restore the previous install
Windows
Run the setup program and accept the administrator prompt. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm (More info, then Run anyway). OpenRSP talks to the receiver through the standard WinUSB driver: if the receiver has never been used on this PC, the installer says how to set that up. Uninstall from Settings > Apps.
macOS
The macOS installer and apps will be offered here soon.
Android
Install the OpenRSP driver app first, then the Client Demo or any other app that uses OpenRSP. Android asks once to allow installing apps from your browser or file manager. Plug the receiver in with a USB-C OTG adapter or cable and allow OpenRSP to use it. See Android & iPad for what the driver app does.
iPad
The iPad apps are not offered for download yet: iPadOS only installs apps distributed through Apple, and that depends on Apple granting the USB driver entitlement for the receiver.
Checking a download
Compare the SHA-256 shown next to each file, or put the files and
SHA256SUMS in one folder and run
sha256sum -c --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS (macOS: shasum -a 256 -c).
